Presented by Sam Guzzardi
Findings from a wide range of disciplines confirm that fostering healthy attachments in school is a key component to supporting the success of all students, including students who have severe difficulty with behavior and learning. In this second part of a two-part series, school counselors and social workers will have the opportunity to speak about their efforts to support teachers and other school staff in having one-on-one conversations that foster teachers’ ability to be secure attachment objects for students. This session will focus on discussing participants’ successes and difficulties with the model, troubleshooting challenging scenarios with teachers, and learning additional techniques for ensuring that teachers are supported in their interactions with the students who challenge them the most.
Suggested Audience: Counselors/Social Workers, Administrators/School Leaders, Deans/Coaches
Please do not register unless you attended Part 1 last Fall.
