Presented by Amy Grillo & Lauren Buisson-Hudacek
Co-teaching is a model that emphasizes consistent collaboration and communication among all members of a team to meet the needs of all students. This session will highlight how to include related service providers, such as an SLP, effectively to this interdisciplinary team. In addition, this session will offer practical, co-teaching models for “push in” and “pull out” service delivery that can be readily incorporated into the classroom. Opportunities to apply co-teaching models to related service delivery is threaded throughout each day, and our hope is to shed light on these moments. Attendees will leave the session with a framework that outlines the elements of co-teaching and co-teaching models for push-in and pull-out service delivery to readily incorporate into school/classroom models. In addition, attendees will role-play how to include related service providers into various co-teaching models.
Suggested Audience: Teachers, Related Service Providers, Special Education Coordinators/Leads
