9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
NYC Charter School Center - Training Room
111 Broadway, Suite 604, New York, NY 10006
Suggested Audience: Teachers, Related Service Providers, Special Education Coordinators
Attendees will analyze ways to utilize therapists (Speech, OT, PT and Counselors) within the classroom, eliminating students missing valuable academic time to receive services. We will also explore other school related areas such as P.E., Art, Music, Lunch and Recess to incorporate services. Attendees will evaluate a typical day and explore the areas of the day where students requiring services could benefit from “Push-In” rather than “Pull-Out” services. We will also explore how to create effective lesson plans with the support of therapists in mind.
Presenter: Linda Colucci, M.Ed. – Director of Special Services, Bloomfield Public Schools
