Transitioning to the world of adult services can be scary and confusing for any student. Students with disabilities and their families need to know all their available options so that the abilities, talents, skills and passions of the student with special needs, can be nurtured and supported. This session will present a wide array of transition options available to the student with disabilities and their families.
Through a series of multi-sensory, participatory experiences, participants will explore their already existing knowledge of transition services and be introduced to a wide array of new and creative transition support services for the aging out student. There will be games, lecture, small group work, case studies, questions and answers as well as group brain-storming.
