Lesson Planning for Special Populations

Many times teachers are tasked with crafting lesson plans that are effective for all students without receiving support in planning specifically for special populations. In this session, attendees will learn about different considerations that must be made when lesson planning for special populations. Attendees will be exposed to different tools and templates to use during the lesson planning process. Work time will be built in for participants to work on their own lesson plans and receive feedback on accessibility for special populations.

Suggested Audience: General Education Teachers, Special Education Teachers, ELL Teachers, Deans/Coaches

Suggested Grade Level: Elementary, Middle, High School
