Including Students with Print-Based Reading Disabilities in General Education Curriculum

Teachers and administrators will leave with practical ways to ensure meaningful inclusion of students with print based reading disabilities within General Education settings, including specific strategies and applicable resources. We will explore best practices including Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies, appropriate accommodations and scaffolds that can be implemented in the GE classroom in order to increase student access to grade level work across content areas. We will also review applicable (mostly free) tools and resources that can be implemented in all classrooms in order to increase access to content and inclusion within the class.
