Including paraprofessionals in school-wide and classroom based systems is integral to building collaborative and inclusive learning environments. This session will explore the roles and responsibilities of paraprofessionals, including the support from supervising teachers, and school based teams. We will also explore ways to build the role of paraprofessionals in supporting students in your classrooms. Participants will develop a framework for how to support paraprofessionals, and how to build a program that maximizes adult support to increase student achievement. This session is not designed for paraprofessionals but will have tools you can use to support in building their capacity.
Suggested Audience: Teachers, Coaches/Deans, Special Education Coordinators/Leads
