How can we modify and enhance our teaching to help all of our students meet the new rigors of the Common Core? In this interactive session, Dr. Silver will introduce participants to the Core Six: six easy-to-use, research-based strategies that teachers at all grade levels can use to develop the most important Common Core skills. Participants will discuss some challenges they face in addressing the Common Core and focus on how two literacy strategies—Reading for Meaning and Vocabulary’s CODE—can provide classroom-ready response to these challenges. Each attending school will receive a copy of The Core Six: Essential Strategies for Achieving Excellence with the Common Core.
Presenter: Dr. Harvey F. Silver – Cofounder and President of Silver Strong & Associates and Thoughtful Education Press
