This workshop is designed for participants who took the September Introduction to Wilson Reading System workshop or an equivalent WRS introductory workshop are interested in strengthening their procedures, evaluating their own WRS lessons, and gaining further clarity on how to proceed in higher Wilson substeps including procedures for multisyllabic words, vowel-consonant-e syllables and the introduction of long vowel sounds. Lastly, participants will use current student Wilson data to effectively plan more targeted instruction. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Strengthen WRS procedures for each part of the phonics block.
- Effectively teach Wilson Substeps 3.1-4.5 (including syllabication and the introduction of long vowel sounds)
- Use student data to effectively plan for future instruction.
