Workshop: Using Data to Differentiate Writing Instruction in an ICT Classroom

This 2-hour workshop is designed for participants who are interested in more effectively utilizing two teachers in a writing classroom through the use of targeted data practices. This workshop is open to co-teaching pairs, as well as just individual teachers who teach in an ICT setting. Throughout this workshop participants will watch video of strong co-teaching classrooms, learn how to more effectively target student writing through conferences, and develop strategies for investing students in their individual writing goals and progress. Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Create an individualized goal setting system for an ICT writing classroom that can easily live in the classroom each day.
  • Implement targeted student conferences in an ICT classroom that are data driven.


Suggested Audience: General Education Teachers, Special Education Teachers
