The co-teaching relationship is at the core of a strong and inclusive special education program. Many schools have various models and supports that target the co-teaching relationships but most do not target the leadership styles of the co-teachers themselves. In this workshop, the Collaborative will lead participants through a survey on Interpersonal Leadership Styles (ILS) and discussion on how leadership styles can impact co-teaching roles and habits in the inclusive classroom. This workshop will review the ILS, with thorough practice in small group breakouts of similar leadership styles and co-teaching pairs. There is a $35 materials fee per participant, which includes the ILS survey and leadership guides. To ensure maximum benefit of your co-teaching team, the Collaborative requests that co-teachers attend the workshop together.
